Natural Edge Dining Table

This table features a top made from two lengths of oak from the same tree. Both pieces featured splits running 1/3 of the way into the length. Butterfly keys were hand cut to stabilise the split and add visual interest. As tempting as it is to fill the splits with resin, we decided to leave them in their natural state but with h edges sanded smooth.

The base was made from tubular steen in a cross braced lattice clad with 3mm sheet steel. The finish was matt black powder coating.
