A solid slab of English Oak forms the top of this striking, minimalist coffee table.

The steel legs have been recessed into the wood creating a smooth transition between the wood and steel. A clear, protective lacquer enhances the contrast between dark carbon deposits and shiny metal. The wood has been treated with a special furniture wax that brings out the character of the oak whilst providing protection against everyday use.

Hand-sanded to an incredibly smooth finish. The end grain is particularly interesting as the growth rings are highly visible and provide a fascinating insight into the heart of the English Oak.
